FAQs

We have listed the most common questions and their answers below for your convenience...

How do I make up a missed meeting?

Members failing to maintain the attendance requirement may be removed from the membership.  A make-up will maintain the attendance requirement and can be done within 14 days before or after the meeting missed.  You can make up meetings at the following area Rotary Clubs:

  • Greater Odessa Rotary Club, MCM Grande Fundome, Tuesdays at 7:00 a.m.
  • Odessa East Rotary Club, MCM Grande Fundome, Thursdays at 12 noon
  • Midland Rotary Club, Midland Center, Thursdays at 12 noon
  • Midland Daybreak Rotary Club, Midland Hilton, Wednesdays at 7:00 a.m.
  • Midland West Rotary Club, Furrs Cafeteria, Tuesdays at 12 noon
  • Online makeup (once per quarter) at www.rotaryeclubone.org

In addition, participation in Club committee meetings and activities count as make-ups.

Can a Rotarian do a make-up by simply signing on to the eClub One site?

Not exactly.  Use the links on the eClub One to complete a make-up request form and follow the instructions.  In order to get a make-up card the visitor must read the current and/or past program and be prepared to share ideas with your club.  It's not the easiest make-up for a Rotary club, but you will learn a lot!

What types of contributions are eligible for Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow recognition ?

All contributions to the Annual Programs Fund and/or restricted gifts are eligible.

Can a  business or organization be a Paul Harris Fellow?

No.  Occasionally, a donor contributes US$1,000 and wishes to recognize a business or organization.  In these instances, since Paul Harris Fellow recognition can only be presented to individuals, a Certificate of Appreciation is given instead.
